Why we chose the Cordillera Blanca:
We chose the Cordillera Blanca of Peru for several
reasons.
The Cordillera Blanca offers a wide variety of
environments, from huge glaciated mountains to tangled forests,
to high open plains, all with the unbelievable access of 1 or 2 days
hike!
The culture within the Peruvian Andes is as rich
as it’s natural beauty. You will visit tiny earth-made
huts where the indigenous, Quetchua speaking people still live today, in ways not
too different from how their ancestors did hundreds of years ago.
The weather in the Cordillera Blanca, between
the months of May and September, remains amazingly stable. In
the alpine environment, this means a higher rate of successful
climbs then in any other mountain range in the world.
Due to economic differences, the US dollar goes
a long way in Peru allowing us to run quality trips and courses
at very competitive prices.
